The Best Extreme Sports in Some of the Most Beautiful Locations
Article by Chris Miles
I have been to many different locations and taken part in some very extreme holiday activities, so when I was challenged by a friend to find the most extreme holiday activities in the world I was up for the challenge. So here are some of the most extreme holiday activities in the world. Taking into account that I have not taken part in most of these challenges, I have reviewed them by taking into account descriptions and other people’s experiences.
Although I have previously done a base jump, I have apparently not taken part in the most extreme. There are hundreds of places around the world to take part in the activity. But according to the internet the best place to take part in this extreme activity is in Tonsai, Thailand. With base jumping experts travelling to the area to do the daring jump, we mere mortals may not be up for the challenge. The jumpers use parachutes, but they wait until the last possible moment to deploy them.
Meru Peak in the Himalayas is another great place to take part in the activity. What could be more thrilling than the icy cold Himalayan region for heart stopping, crazy, killer base jumping?
Bungee jumping, another incredible experience, is not for the faint hearted. The most extreme bungee jumping experience is found at the Volcano Bungee near Pucon, Chile. You are flown into an active smoking volcano by helicopter. You are able to dive for about 450 feet towards the molten lava. Although it is incredibly expensive it will definitely be worth it.
Abseiling can be one of the most exhilarating sports, with the difficulty rating varying from beginner to advance. One of the most extreme places to do this activity is on Table Mountain. Reaching 1000 metres above sea level this mountain is a pure vertical space. This is location of the world’s original highest commercial abseil. You are surrounded by awesome views and Atlantic below.
Freediving is diving to great depths whilst holding your breath. It is dangerous and should be carried out only after guidance from a professional. The feeling produced by taking part in a freedrive is incredible. There are several places around the world where you can take part in freedrive, but the most extreme is near the blue hole.
By clicking here flights to some of these locations you can see the places which attract some of the most extreme sports people in the world. Remember you should only undertake these activities with the guidance of professionals and after extensive training. Extreme sports are extreme for a reason, they are incredibly dangerous.
